This Privacy Policy explains how BrandonLaGreca.com (the “Site”), operated by East Troy Acupuncture, LLC (“we”, “us”), collects, uses and shares information about visitors (each, a “User”). It applies to this Site and to the products and services offered through it. The Site is operated from the United States.
Information you give us
We only receive personal information you choose to send. The Site has no user accounts, no registration and no comments. Information reaches us through the forms on the Site:
- Newsletter signup – your name and email address.
- Contact form – your name, email address, an optional phone number, your message, and whether you asked to join the newsletter.
- Media and press inquiries – your name, email address, an optional phone number and your message.
- Consulting inquiries – your name, email address, an optional phone number and your message.
Form submissions are emailed to us and stored in the Site’s database. You can always browse the Site without submitting anything; declining to fill in a form only means we cannot reply to you.
Please do not send confidential medical information
This Site is an author and education website, not a clinic, a patient portal or a substitute for medical care. Using it does not create a practitioner–patient relationship, and messages sent through its forms travel by ordinary email and are not protected health information under HIPAA. Please keep inquiries general and do not send diagnoses, test results, records or other sensitive health details through the Site. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the Site records technical information whenever a page is requested. This may include your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and the date and time of each request. It is used to keep the Site running, to defend it against abuse, and to understand in aggregate how the Site is used. We do not use it to try to identify you.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website places on your device. The Site may use:
- Necessary cookies set by our host (Kinsta) and content delivery network (Cloudflare) for caching, load balancing and security, and by WordPress when an administrator signs in.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to measure traffic and page popularity in aggregate.
- Third-party cookies set by embedded content — for example a YouTube video placed in an article or on a page — when that content loads.
Most browsers let you refuse cookies or warn you before one is set, and offer a private browsing mode. Refusing cookies will not stop you reading the Site, though some embedded content may not work. We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, as there is still no common standard for them.
How we use information
- To answer your message, inquiry or consulting request.
- To send the newsletter, if you asked for it — typically the latest article, speaking dates and book news. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link, and we do not add you to the list for any other reason.
- To operate, secure, maintain and improve the Site.
- To understand, in aggregate, which articles and pages are useful.
- To comply with the law, and to protect our rights or the safety of others.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell advertising on the Site.
Purchases and payments
No payment is taken on this Site and we never see or store your card details. Books, eBooks and audiobooks are sold through independent retailers and platforms — Amazon, Payhip, Apple, Spotify and others. Following one of those links takes you to that company’s own service, where its privacy policy and terms govern what happens to your information. The same is true of Patreon, and of any other external platform linked from the Site.
Service providers we share information with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the providers that make the Site work, and only so far as they need it to do their job:
- Kinsta (web hosting) stores the Site and its database, and Cloudflare (content delivery and security) serves pages and filters malicious traffic. Both keep server logs.
- Email delivery – form notifications are delivered by an email service on our behalf.
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit, our email marketing provider) stores the name and email address of everyone who subscribes, and records opens and clicks so we can tell whether an issue landed.
- Google Analytics measures traffic in aggregate.
- Google reCAPTCHA may protect our forms, assessing the submission and your interaction with the page to tell people from automated scripts. Its use is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms of service.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims. If the Site or the business is ever transferred to another owner, information held about Users may transfer with it.
How long we keep it
Form submissions and the correspondence that follows are kept as long as they are useful for the inquiry and our records. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server and analytics logs are kept for a limited period in the ordinary course of hosting and measurement. You can ask us to delete anything sooner.
How we protect your information
The whole Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so anything you submit is encrypted in transit. Access to the Site’s administration and its stored submissions is limited to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link at the foot of any newsletter.
- Ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
- Control cookies through your browser settings.

Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

The Site links to other websites — retailers, podcasts, publications, social platforms and the sites of people Brandon has worked with — and embeds content such as videos. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Browsing or interacting with any other website, including one reached from a link here, is governed by that website’s own terms and policies.

We may update this policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the date at the bottom of this page. We encourage you to check back from time to time. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
